SoSC 2010

SoSC 2010 - Science Educators Festival

The Science Educators Festival is an annual event located in different regions each year.  It acts as a focal point of new science and technology teaching methods and discussions on how to encourage and enhance education in this rapidly evolving subject.  After the festival, lessons, projects and philosophies will be posted on the SoSC website for all science and technology educators to benefit from.

Canada's Science Educators' Festival involves a nationwide collaboration of science and technology educators dedicated to the development and invigoration of science and technology learning across the country.  It is based on three pillars of support, which include:

1. The Science Fair: Showcasing Exemplary Teaching Practices
Educators from coast to coast to coast will share their most succesful and innovative ideas and strategies with their colleagues -- these materials will be made available on the SoSC website for all educators to learn from.

2. Pedagogical Discussions
Educators interact at multiple levels in numerous situations in their day-to-day instruction.  Discussions will be held to contemplate these situations and propose possible solutions to overcome obstacles.  Engaging in these discussions will bring perspectives from colleagues across the country, informal educators and researchers and professors.

3. Professional Development
