Participation in SoSC 2010

SoSC focuses on supporting teachers in the middle and secondary levels (students aged 12 to 18).  Teachers who have developed  strategies, methods, materials, projects, or philosophies that have proved successful with their students are prime candidates to apply to participate at the festival.  If chosen, the teacher's examplary practices are to be shared during the fair, in the festival booklet, through pamphlets, and on the SoSC website, so that other teachers can learn and use these ideas to teach their students.

Participation in each festival is limited.  Ideally, at least two representatives from every province and territory, plus the First Nations, Metis, and Inuit community will attend as presenters.

Attendance each year depends on sponsor support to pay for the educators' expenses to attend the event.  SoSC will cover all travel expenses for each delegate that is selected.  Please refer to the bursaries document for details of the eligible expenses.

Science on Stage Canada strives to recognize educators' exemplary practices by covering expenses of selected participants.

If you would like to attend SoSC2 - August 9th to August 13th, 2010, please fill out and send the application form by May 24th, 2010.

For more information and a copy of the registration form, please go to the Participation link at the top of this page.
